Liability Coverage

As a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses you are automatically provided with professional liability coverage. Included in your annual membership, the association provides a professional liability policy with $2,000,000 per claim limit and an annual program aggregate of $50,000,000. The program covers the LPN for faults, errors, omisssions and negligence for services rendered while acting within their scope and duties.

If a LPN is concerned about becoming involved in a possible legal issue arising out of the performance of their normal duties as a LPN, the SALPN will refer him/her to the insurance provider, Lloyd Sadd Insurance Brokers.

Each LPN is advised to contact Lloyd Sadd Insurance immediately if they become aware of a legal issue in which they may become involved.

This insurance is intended for matters where the LPN may be financially responsible for damages to a third party.

Interesting session about models of regulator oversight. If we are committed to doing this work well and for the right reasons - oversight doesn’t have to be a threat but an opportunity to better serve the public. #cnar2019

The Council Chair @Figure1984 and Vice Chair @ewenlafleur ate pleased to be taking in this education to support the SALPN’s quest for excellence in governance.
