As flu season approaches, LPN’s may be asked to provide immunizations to clients and colleagues. Any LPN that is considering providing this service is reminded to review the guideline document “Immunization” to ensure that they have the required competencies to do so.
LPNs are authorized by the SALPN to provide immunizations as an additional competency. Your employer may restrict this practice so you will need to review your employer policies.
The Council is currently seeking an LPN to serve as an alternate member of the C&I Committee. An alternate member will be utilized in the event of a conflict of interest within the committee and is an excellent candidate to replace other members as terms expire.
Meetings are in person or virtual and are scheduled well in advance.
Training and orientation will be required.
Serving committee members are paid a per diem for each meeting.
Travel, meals, and accommodations are provided for committee members from outside of Regina
