Supervised Practice Experience (SPE) Program

The Supervised Practice Experience (SPE) is a regulatory program available to eligible practical nurses previously licensed with the SALPN or new applicants who meet the educational requirements but do not have current practice hours.

The program includes at least 240 hours of precepted clinical experience in an area of practice mutually agreed upon by the SALPN, SPE participant and a host organization.  Once an SPE participant completes the program successfully, they become eligible for licensure in Saskatchewan.
